The narrative unfolds on a massive 48x48-inch structural chassis, meticulously hand-engineered from raw lumber by the artist in California.
On the hidden verso (back) of the panel, a vibrant, unseen layer of crimson Hanji paper rests upon white gesso, sealing away the raw, beating heart of vital human presence. Conversely, the recto (front) surface is completely submerged in a multi-layered absolute black gesso void, consuming all external noise into a state of deep, meditative silence.

The Macroscopic Planetary Reliefs: The massive, undulating orb structures are born from a patient, time-bending ritual. Raw organic Hanji is completely immersed for a full 24 hours to relax the ancient mulberry fibers, then hand-sculpted into grand landforms. Over a rigorous 5 to 7-day atmospheric curing process, the shrinking base naturally warps and locks into place.
The Microscopic "Hanji-Cell Personas": Erupting dynamically from these landforms is the artist's exclusive signature—the Hanji-Cells. Defying gravity, these raw, unfiltered mulberry fibers stretch proudly into the open air, reaching unprecedented lengths of 3 to 4 cm. Because the natural tension of the fiber ensures that no two cells ever mimic the same form, each eruption stands as a distinct, unrepeatable "Persona.
Selective Textural Contrast (Preserving the Pure Cell): To maintain the absolute, unadulterated matte texture and deep organic black of the Hanji-Cells, the application of professional black gesso is masterfully restricted only to the background topography. The 3–4 cm soaring fibers are deliberately left untouched in their raw, native state. This creates an exquisite, near-perceptible friction between the rich, structured gesso ground and the light-absorbing, velvet-like softness of the pure Hanji-Cell fibers
