Under the California sun, each masterwork begins with the exact same inkstone, brush, and traditional ink cherished since childhood—carried carefully across the Pacific in a suitcase from Korea.

However, the artist’s material vocabulary expands far beyond tradition, evolving into a masterful alchemy of textures. Alongside Hanji—a paper fragile yet enduring for a thousand years, crafted entirely by human hands—the artist weaves a universe of diverse elements. By laying foundations of 1,000°C baked vermiculite and raw natural stones, embedding a shimmering galaxy of multi-chroma Swarovski crystals, and dynamically raising raw paper fibers into the open air, the invisible quantum field is translated into a living, tactile ecosystem.
