PAVILION III : MATERIAL INTELLIGENCE

Hanji Cell Relics & Art Capsules

Chapter II: THE MICRO CAPSULES — The Quantum Reliquary

The Primeval Vortex (Micro)

Sub-title: The Condensed Singularity of Light and Rotational Energy

"A cosmic galaxy condensed into a single quantum seed—capturing the intense singularity where light and rotational energy awaken."

CURATION ANATOMY: The Architecture of Light

  • Floating Neural Filaments

Delicate Hanji threads and raw mulberry fibers extend into transparent space, constructing a poetic lattice that resembles cosmic neural networks or a floating micro-constellation.

  • Luminous Interplay with Light

As ambient light hits the exposed organic fibers and gold particles suspended in acrylic, static space activates into dynamic, dreamlike reflections.

  • Subtle Weightlessness

Embodying the most delicate, weightless piece in the Micro collection—offering a serene, meditative presence that softly absorbs the gaze of the viewer.

STORYTELLING & PHILOSOPHY

  • The 46-Year Inkstone Ritual

Pigmented with traditional Korean Muk (ink) from the artist's personal inkstone preserved for over 46 years (since age 11). This capsule seals a lifetime of soul and consciousness into an eternal cosmic relic.

  • Compression of Time (46 Years & 1,000 Years)

A sacred union between the artist’s 46-year lived consciousness and the 1,000-year archival permanence of traditional hand-sculpted Hanji.

  • Quantum Contemplation (Particle vs. Wave)

Pure water and rich ink stretch raw mulberry fibers to their absolute physical threshold. When ambient light strikes the exposed fibers and gold/oxidized leaf, static matter transforms into a fluid wave of cosmic energy, inducing Nature’s 1/f Fluctuation.

"Even the pedestal is an active sculptural medium. The subtle variation in light reflection—where the satin depth of the traditional ink meets the single matte stroke of Black Gesso—ensures that the base itself responds dynamically to ambient light alongside the acrylic monolith."
