Chapter II: THE MICRO CAPSULES — The Quantum Reliquary

The Celestial Strata

Sub-title: Geological Echoes of Ink, Gold, and Time

"Diagonal layers of primeval ink and gold veins—echoing millions of years of compressed time and geological memory."

CURATION ANATOMY: The Architecture of Light

  • Geological Layers of Compressed Time

Organic layers of raw Hanji fibers and rich ink fold diagonally like ancient geological rock strata, capturing millions of years of compressed cosmic time into a solid physical form.

  • Golden Veins of Awakening

Sweeping gold leaf lines weave between the dark ink bands like arterial rivers of light, symbolizing the fruits of light that survived immense temporal pressure.

  • Organic Structural Rhythm

The diagonal orientation introduces a captivating dynamic wave, bringing both architectural stability and living movement to modern interior spaces.

STORYTELLING & PHILOSOPHY

  • The 46-Year Inkstone Ritual

Pigmented with traditional Korean Muk (ink) from the artist's personal inkstone preserved for over 46 years (since age 11). This capsule seals a lifetime of soul and consciousness into an eternal cosmic relic.

  • Compression of Time (46 Years & 1,000 Years)

A sacred union between the artist’s 46-year lived consciousness and the 1,000-year archival permanence of traditional hand-sculpted Hanji.

  • Quantum Contemplation (Particle vs. Wave)

Pure water and rich ink stretch raw mulberry fibers to their absolute physical threshold. When ambient light strikes the exposed fibers and gold/oxidized leaf, static matter transforms into a fluid wave of cosmic energy, inducing Nature’s 1/f Fluctuation.

"Even the pedestal is an active sculptural medium. The subtle variation in light reflection—where the satin depth of the traditional ink meets the single matte stroke of Black Gesso—ensures that the base itself responds dynamically to ambient light alongside the acrylic monolith."
