Hanji Cell Relics & Art Capsules

Chapter I: THE MACRO CAPSULES — The Grand Reliquary

The Dual Resonance No. 1 —
The Ascending Motion

: An Interlocking Dialogue of Primal Form — Part I

"Raw mulberry cell networks and concave gold curves rising dynamically into the upper void—projecting vital, ascending energy."

CURATION ANATOMY: The Architecture of Light

  • The Ascending Energy (Part I of Diptych)

Rising dynamically from the lower base, raw mulberry cell networks and concave gold curves project upward with vital, Spinozan kinetic energy into the upper void.

  • Interlocking Dialogue with Part II

Designed to stand as a powerful individual masterwork or pair seamlessly with The Dual Resonance No. 2, creating an interlocking architectural energy field.

  • Vertical Spatial Projection

The upward momentum of the black ink mass is balanced by the 30mm solid acrylic capsule and museum-grade black oak pedestal.

STORYTELLING & PHILOSOPHY

  • The 46-Year Inkstone Ritual

Pigmented with traditional Korean Muk (ink) from the artist's personal inkstone preserved for over 46 years (since age 11). This capsule seals a lifetime of soul and consciousness into an eternal cosmic relic.

  • Compression of Time (46 Years & 1,000 Years)

A sacred union between the artist’s 46-year lived consciousness and the 1,000-year archival permanence of traditional hand-sculpted Hanji.

  • Quantum Contemplation (Particle vs. Wave)

Pure water and rich ink stretch raw mulberry fibers to their absolute physical threshold. When ambient light strikes the exposed fibers and gold/oxidized leaf, static matter transforms into a fluid wave of cosmic energy, inducing Nature’s 1/f Fluctuation.

"Even the pedestal is an active sculptural medium. The subtle variation in light reflection—where the satin depth of the traditional ink meets the single matte stroke of Black Gesso—ensures that the base itself responds dynamically to ambient light alongside the acrylic monolith."
