The foundation rests upon a deeply submerged, pale, acrylic-infused Hanji stratum—representing the nascent, delicate crust of a newborn planet. Overlaid upon this ancient memory, carefully selected unbleached raw mulberry Hanji (미표백 운용지)—retaining the visible veins and natural bark of the tree—is forcefully applied. Crucially, this towering upper mantle completely eschews artificial pigments. Instead, the organic raw fibers react naturally with the museum-grade Lineco archival adhesive, darkening into a breathtaking, deep aged raw umber tone. This is not merely painted color; it is the physical accumulation of time, creating a heavy, fermented flesh over the primordial earth.
Stage I captures the genesis of Earth (JI)—'The Primordial Whisper.'
